Model S Controller | Vacuum Regulation and Test Time

Do you precisely control the vacuum level and test time of your trials?

In leak testing, it is not enough to generate vacuum inside a chamber. To obtain consistent results, it is necessary to precisely control the variables that directly influence the test. Among the most important are the vacuum level and the time of each cycle.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn:

How the DVACI Model S Controller helps regulate the vacuum level and test time to perform more stable, repeatable leak tests with less operator dependence. Its vacuum generation options, compatibility with CDV Chambers, and the possibility of integrating it into existing chambers to modernize the process are also presented.

What happens when these parameters are not properly controlled?

A test that apparently is under control can generate different results from one cycle to another. This can occur due to variations in the vacuum setting, differences in exposure time, or the way each operator uses the equipment. As a result, the process can become less repeatable, more operator-dependent, and more difficult to standardize.

The DVACI Model S Controller was designed to help solve these types of situations.

This system allows precise regulation of the vacuum level and test time, two key variables for performing more stable and comparable leak tests. To achieve this, it integrates an electronic regulator that facilitates fast and precise vacuum adjustment, along with a timer that allows control of the duration of each test.

Its operation is simple and practical for quality control, validation, or production environments. It features start and stop buttons, a digital display, direct vacuum level adjustment, and parameter locking to prevent unauthorized modifications during the process.

In addition, the Model S Controller is compatible with any CDV Vacuum Chamber, allowing the most suitable chamber size to be selected according to the application, while maintaining the same operating logic across different equipment. This facilitates personnel training and contributes to the standardization of internal procedures.

More than Control: Integrated Vacuum Generation

Another important aspect is that the system does not only function as a controller. It also integrates vacuum generation through a Venturi system, using compressed air. In case the facility does not have this supply, it can also be configured

with an optional vacuum pump. With this solution, it is possible to perform dry leak tests, immersion tests, and transport simulations, adjusting the vacuum level according to the condition to be reproduced.

An Alternative for Upgrading Vacuum Chambers

Many companies already have a vacuum chamber, but need to improve their control system. In these cases, DVACI can evaluate the integration of the Model S Controller into existing equipment, and even review compatibility with an available vacuum pump, always under technical recommendations.
