Leak Test App – Model P Controller, for Standardized Package Testing
Why Manual Leak Testing Creates Risk
In many quality control processes, leak tests are still performed manually. This can make testing poorly repeatable, difficult to document and dependent on how each operator performs the procedure.
The Leak Test application on the P Module was designed to standardize and automate leak testing, adapting to different products and processes through controlled recipes, automated cycles and complete test documentation.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn:
How the Leak Test App standardizes and automates leak testing, reduces operator variability through recipe management and barcode selection, adapts to vacuum, pressure, immersion and dry testing methods, and protects results with traceable reports and electronic signatures.
What Is the Leak Test App?
The Leak Test App is an application available on the P Module that helps standardize and automate leak testing. Through an intuitive interface, the operator can access the application and select the recipe that corresponds to the product being tested.
At the same time, administrators can configure recipes and restrict access, preventing unauthorized users from changing test parameters. This creates a controlled testing environment where the operator only needs to select the correct recipe and run the test.
Recipe Management for Repeatable Leak Testing
One of the main benefits of the Leak Test App is recipe management. Each product can have its own test method, with defined parameters such as vacuum level and test time.

Because recipes are saved in the system, tests can be executed without modifying parameters every time. This helps ensure repeatability, reduce variability and support process standardization.

From simple tests to more advanced configurations, the system adapts to the needs of different products and processes. And if your process evolves, the application can evolve with it.
Barcode-Based Recipe Selection to Reduce Operator Error
What happens if the operator selects the wrong recipe? The system can integrate a barcode reader that allows the operator to scan the product and automatically select the corresponding recipe.

This reduces the risk of selecting the wrong test configuration and helps ensure that each product is tested with the correct parameters.

Advanced Leak Test Cycles: Vacuum, Pressure and Repetition
The Leak Test App allows advanced test configurations with up to four vacuum levels within a single cycle. This enables progressive testing for applications that require more than a simple one-step test.

It is also possible to combine vacuum and pressure in the same test, or to program repetitive cycles to simulate more demanding conditions and evaluate package behavior over time.

Once the recipe is configured, the system runs the cycle automatically. The operator can focus on observing the product while the application controls the test sequence.
Immersion and Dry Leak Testing Options
In immersion testing, leaks can be detected visually through the appearance of bubbles. This method is ideal for flexible packages containing solid products.

Dry testing is also possible, especially for packages that contain liquids. In this case, a leak is identified by product seepage.

Automated Test Execution for Quality Control
Once the test is started, the system automatically runs the entire cycle according to the selected recipe. This reduces manual intervention and supports a more standardized testing process.

The operator only needs to focus on observing the product. This separation between automated cycle execution and visual product observation helps reduce variability in daily quality control operations.

Complete Traceability and Test Documentation
All test results are automatically recorded. Information such as the operator, date, time, lot number and test parameters is stored for later analysis.

The recorded data can be exported in Excel format, printed or integrated into digital reports. This gives quality teams a structured way to document leak test results and review testing information when needed.

PDF Reports with Electronic Signature
The Leak Test App can also generate PDF reports with an electronic signature. If the document is modified, the signature becomes invalid.

This helps guarantee that results cannot be altered or falsified, supporting data integrity and traceability in the leak testing process.
A Leak Testing Application That Evolves with Your Process
The Leak Test App gives quality teams complete control over their tests: standardized, automated and fully traceable.

Whether your process requires simple leak tests, advanced vacuum levels, combined vacuum and pressure, repetitive cycles, immersion testing or dry testing, the application is designed to adapt to your needs.
